Thanks
Captain Tony Piscitelli

Press Release:
Archeological Preservation Vs. Commercial Salvage and the Wreck Diving =
Community:

On Sat 26 March 19999 at Beneath the Sea Part I of the presentation to =
have Anne Geisecke- author of the Abandoned Shipwreck Act and Ole Varmer =
- Cheif Council NOAA, in debate with Peter Hess, Maritime Atty and =
successful litigator for public access to the Monitor and Pat Clyne of =
the Attocha group, followed by Q & A period. On Sunday 27 March Part II, =
will have Bernie Chowdhury -Publisher and Exec. Editor of Imersed =
Magazine moderating a panel disscussion ( Panelists to be announced ).

The issues are very important because the current Maritime Laws may be =
put aside in favor of the Archeological group, and if this happens ( =
currently before our State Dept. and US Senate ) you will not be allowed =
to go near a wreck with out government permission. This june the UN will =
try to make this happen through international treaty by UNESCO. I the =
US Senate approves this then the future of wreck diving is in Jeopardy.

BTS is providing a forum for both sides, at its annual show for no =
additional charge beyond general admission. Seating limited and on a =
first come first serve basis.

for more info you can contact me as the Coordinator for this program at =
