forget the technical bs about how effective argon is. rent or borrow a set up-
try it for a few dives. if you feel it works then get your own if not then
look fro something else.
personally i think it works fine. but i also think some of it is a psych job.
but it works for me so whatever the reason who cares, i'm warmer & can dive
longer because of it.

 Can you point me to good information on the benefits of argon for suit
 inflation over air? From what I've read so far, and it's not much, the
 difference between the conductivity of air and argon is not enough to
 scientifically distinguish between the two.  It's a completely different
 story when the choice is between helium mixes and argon, as the helium
 sucks the heat right out of you. I haven't read anything on this list
 about this subject, so if it's been here, I've missed it. However, since,
 in answering Tom's  post, you seem to be saying that argon is the
 only way to go, and that it is much superior, even if he is diving air, I am
 thinking that you have some info on this that refutes the little that I've
 read.
