Grant, Being up in Canada you should have a great opportunity to do some of the research yourself. Go and ask a bunch of glaziers what gas they use for insulated windows and report this back to me and the rest of the list. What I can tell you is anecdotal (as for air/nitrox mixes and argon for suit inflation), but on some of longer dives I've done using Argon really made a difference.. Oh yeah, then there's the time I flooded my suit and a friend gave me a shot of argon which was a hell of a lot warmer then the nitrox I was filling my suit with.. Look into the insulated windows and report back to me.
