One day at a time, one person at a time. To attempt to reach the entire
world will just frustrate the preacher. Set up small camps here, there,
everywhere and with time enough will make the progression. I have been in
this long enough to know that there is no perfect way, simply because
perfection is never perfect, it is just an evolving method of getting better.

As much as I get angry and dismayed each time someone bites the dust doing
this, I can only appreciate what we can learn from each accident and
fatality. Each one really does save thousands more. Regardless of how we
try to prevent the ignorant from killing themselves they have figured out
more reasons and ways on how to do succeed at that act.

I seriously doubt if any "new" guys are really that protected from
accessing information. In the early days of tech all we had was Aquacorps
and Sub Aqua, and the Cave Journals. Today there is a mass of information
both print and electronic that is easily accessed. IF someone is that much
of a moron that they cant read and comprehend then maybe we need to install
intelligence and literacy tests into scuba diving classes, but then that
may just eliminate most of the marketplace - which just wont happen.

Judaism and Christian studies teach us to be kind to the indigent, teach
the ignorant, share with the poor and be tolerant of the arrogant, for at
one time or another in our lives we have been all of them.

This is just one more lesson we all get to learn from and move on. As you
may not know, I don't cave dive, nor do I have much of a desire to, but; I
learn from as much of it as I can and then incorporate it into what I do.
What we learn from others failures is how to not make the same mistake.
That is true education, learning what not to do, for in the end when it all
goes right its pretty easy. Breath in - breath out - don't hold your breath.

Safety is a Non-competitive Issue
