Sean- I beat the crap out of my AUL14 and the only way I have ever managed to break one is to let it to do a 4' header off of a bench onto an aluminum deck. It landed just right to crack it like a egg. But it is getting bashed all the time on entry/exit and while diving, it really takes quite a blow to bust one. I would not bother with a convoluted cover. What I did do was glue a block of soft foam on the bottom and top of the battery to cushion impacts, but you problably Jim Sender: Sean T.
