Phi, I originally ordered a Pro 24, but was sent the acrylic canister. 
When I called Barry to ask about this he told me that the flexible
nature of the HDP was an issue, and he had not conducted enough tests
with the Pro in the 24 Ah packs to get a feel for its long term
reliability.  I explained my concern over breakage, and he said he
would swap out for an HDP canister if I wanted, but was kind enough to
provide me with a lifetime guarantee on the acrylic canister.  My
concern is not over dropping it - I'd like to think I'm careful enough
with my gear to avoid this, but rather scratching and impact from
objects underwater, especially where the acrylic may be brittle due to
the temperature (Canada, winter, etc.).  This is why I thought of the
protective sleeve just for working dives when the likelihood of a sharp
impact to the canister is higher.
