its time for a new bc to be used exclusively for doubles; I have been using the seatec in one form or another for the last 10 years, and the diverite the two years before that. Any comments on which size to get? the current choices seem to be #45 and #65 pounds of lift. The seatec worked well, but was marginal on lift; I don't want to go any lighter and would prefer an extra #5 or so lbs. lift. The default is the #65 model, but if I could get away with the 45 I would prefer that. Any idea what the lift capacity is on the seatec? this is for comparison purposes. Comments on why I should or shouldn't go with the 45? Any personal preferences are welcome, but this is a question of LIFT, not brand. The 45 would seem to be enough, but I don't want to buy it and find it wont work. as far as equipment; I dive with RENTED doubles, so they are either steel or aluminum, random brands, etc. dependent upon who has what when I show up to dive (in Fla. or Mexico; cant fly doubles very well from California). The seatec seemed to work well on everything up to steel 104s and a single stage bottle, but it was FULL with that setup and had NO margin. My leaning now is to get the 65 and forget about it....... thanks. mark -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
