Adriaan-

Usually you need to wait 3 or 4 days for your post to read by someone who
might have the answer, in your case the laws governing this type of
activity in Belgium.

Here in the US of A you can do what you describe to your hearts desire.
You go out and buy a tank of He and off you go. Whether or not certain
folks should do this is another discussion, certainly there are no laws
governing this sort of activity. And if there were they would be
virtually impossible to enforce.

It is hard to procure tables for trimix (or heliox) diving as there are
so many variables insofar as what kind of accelerated deco schedual you
decide to use. Your best bet is to get a proven deco tables program such
as Decom.

On my trimix site I have a free program for Macintosh, MigPlan, you can
download to get an idea of how you deco from He mixtures. There are no
instructions with the software but it is typical Mac software and safe to
say if you can't figure it out you are probably not ready to dive mixed
gases anyway. You're lack of understanding on the difference between
trimix vs. heliox points to this in your case.

As far a how to get a c-card, you need to ask around to your fellow
divers and see who is teaching in your part of the planet.

You must really be cracking up some instructors over there with this
statement, heheheh. Read up on the stuff on my web site before you go and
make a fool of yourself (if it's not too late).

Regards-

 Jim
