The molephone to which you refer is actually spelled "mo' le phone". It's derivation is French, of course, and means literally "more telephone". In cave diving parlance, it means "very much in direct communication". Experienced cave divers know that using "mo' le phone" during a dive means staying in direct communication with each other so that each diver knows which passage the other is in. Or was that gopherphone?
