Wrolf, You comment about comment about CS being considered an engineering discipline at SUNY Stony Brook is in error. Prior to becoming an independent department, CS at Stony Brook was part of the Applied Math department. At no point has CS been part of the engineering department. It has always been closer allied to Math than to Engineering.
