Mike, The overall implications of my post were in line with "defending" the "watchdogs" of the list, for posting and response styles which newcomers frequently interpret as "mean spirited" and "uncalled for" ---I'm saying it IS called for. Sugar coating a reply to someone who may kill others by the influence of their opinions, would be "polite", but it would not be in the best interests of the sport. If you are on a charter boat, and the diver on your left, is trying to persuade the diver on your right to go for a personal deep air record----smack the moron ( at least figuratively :-) And we have the same duty here.
