Sounds like a pretty negative opinion of that crowd then. Thankfully
that is not universally true, and many, when you get them to the side,
just shake their heads and lament the levels of posturing that we all
see on the lists.

If it had been George debating, I might grant you that. But (not to
slam them really) I don't give Al and Jim that much credit. Their diving
resumes aren't George's. They can't get away with claiming their record speaks
for themselves. I'm not saying they aren't fine divers, but they probably
aren't leaps and bounds beyond many other competent divers on this list.

G gets away with proof-by-vigorous-arm-waving, but that privilege
doesn't extend to many others.

Nah, renaming the thread is the last step on the path of ridicule, when
you refuse to let them get away with their unsubstantiated claims.

You're just upset 'cause Jim took your crown away.

However if you stop arguing with me, I'll be glad to take you
on as an Apprentice and teach you how to win it back :-)

Yes, getting deco info is quite easy. Seems to involve much less
that gets confused as religious topics. Its when it comes to gear
that things begin more like a book burning.
