ever since he got bent about three years ago Harvey always dove nitrox & 50/50
in his pony.
the way i understand it -from the diver who sent him up (i still have one fact
that i'm not certain of) he was laying on the bottom no reg in mouth his main
tank shut off. his pony breathed down to (either 300psi or 300 psi missing-
this is th fact i need to clear up) his main tank was full.
Harvey would never stay on the bottom if he had a problem he would always
elect to do a free ascent over staying with a problem. if his main was shut he
had no inflation.
if he took the wrong reg in his mouth when he jumped in & was breathing 50/50
he may never have had the chancetop do anything when he toxed. 
he was using two unfamiliar regs (he had left his regs on aour boat & was to
retrieve them when he came back to dive with us (irronicaly 2 days after he
died).
it looks like it was an unfortunate stupid accident & a waste of a good man. i
am sorry to see his passing.
he was a character & we all loved him. when he came out in the boat dressed as
a lobster you could not stop laughing with him. his joy & ability of catching
lobsters was legendary.
