Are these the ones that were recalled? >> The early Aluminum cylinders were the low pressure (2,475 psi) Floaters. These were followed by a high pressure aluminum cylinder (3,000 psi) that was slightly taller and the same diameter as a steel 72. These aluminum 72s will have a 11 in the cheveron over the US Divers logo. they were called series 2 cylinders, and they were only in production for a couple of years (70 & 71 I think) just prior to the introduction of the Professional Cylinder (Professional was located in the cheveron) which are now known as our current aluminum 80s. I had a pair set up as doubles about 10 or 12 years ago they worked fine and I had no problems with bouyancy, I did however generally carry a pony on top which would add some weight. J.
