John, I have dived with a Blue Water light for a little over a year (I think I described them last year on this list - check archives). It throws a 55W beam, and will burn for about 90 min. It is good past 200 fsw (I can vouch for this personally), and could probably be used as a backup hammer if you drop your primary while working on some artifact. A drawback with this light are that it is not good for cave diving, since its burn time isn't long enough. It isn't as convenient to use with a cave reel as a Dive-Rite/English style light which has a separate head and battery pack. On the other hand, I think it is better for wreck diving than a standard cave light, since it is rugged and has no cord to entangle. A small problem I have had is minor leakage when I got some grit under the switch, but this hasn't caused me any trouble recently. You can reach Bruce at 908-234-9264. In the New England area, Eric Takajian of Grey Eagle charters sells them; he's at 508-362-6501. John P.S. to JHC: If you want to look at mine, let me know and we can go night diving some time.
