A big problem with air integrated computers for technical diving is that once a diver enters the overhead environment the air time remaining info provided by the computer is largely irrelevant, and may be dangerously misleading. Most responsible overhead environment divers observe air management rules no less conservative than thirds. They turn at a pre-determined tank pressure which takes into account, among other things, decompression requirements, and dissimilar air supplies among members of the dive team. Overheard divers who compute their turning point on the fly are usually an out-of-gas emergency waiting to happen. John Heimannj@ma*.nd*.gt*.co* P.S. I imagine that it might be useful to know that your air consumption rate was higher than planned so that you might have to turn the dive at an even higher PSI. I suspect the temptation to modify the dive plan the other way when SAC rate is low will be too strong for many divers, however.
