Actually Johnny boy, I think you've got the wrong target in your sites. I actually have the pleasure to know Billy, and have been on one or two dives with him, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone more open to learning. He just doesn't have it to do it all through multiple courses, rather in a handful of well-structured, well-taught courses, combined with personal learning and research, and **experience**. Billy not long ago embarked on cave training. Not because he gave a rats arse about diving in dark holes (at least not before the course) but because he wanted to be a better diver. He has thought through his diving, has done a lot of private research and learning, and has undertook a small number of appropriate courses. He didn't learn the English language one letter at a time (though looking at your post, perhaps you might have). Similarly he doesn't have to learn about diving in a course structure thats broken down too much (at least for him). I teach with a non-IANTD (non-TDI) tech agency, and I like the simple, but comprehensive course structure, so please don't go rubbishing other "idiologies" (to use your spelling). Yours works for you, others work for other people. BTW, Rob Palmer might not have been an IANTD instructor, but I think he was at least an instructor trainer. Perhaps not before his death, but prior to going over to TDI. As a reader of this list, I (for one) am not sick of people pointing out the idiotic attitudes that we need to clean up in this sport of ours. Keep questioning, but don't get so offended when others question you.
