George, Errol refused both Derrick and Jim Mims because they wished to do 160 foot air dives and Errol does not do air dives below 130 on his boat, or at least this is what Errol told me when I asked following your statement earlier that Errol had complained to me (which he had not) about Derrick I will forward all info provided by the investigator that he will provide to the QA board and all other info we have found on it including all your statements. It is interesting that when Mims and Joe went to the ME office that the pressure read different than what is recorded in Bill's post. In the check using Janes pressure gauge the EAN 80 cylinder read 1900. In the official letter to Dr. flanigan and deputy Suchome it stated under her left arm was a 80 cu ft cylinder that analyzed at 35% and with a psig of 1200. Under her right arm was a cylinder that analyzed at 78% with 1900 psig in it. This was checked at the ME office while still on Jane with ME staff present. Maybe Janes gauge was wrong or whatever ???? opps I posted PADI it should have been PDIC slip of the key board on Derricks original OW instructor cert. According to the information supplied to us Derrick also was certified as a PDIC instructor in 1990 and by PDIC as a Instructor Trainer on 24 June 1995. I've already posted the dates in which he became an instructor with us On his teaching over the weekend he assisted Dan Mitchell with Dans OW PDIC course and he took a tech course to the Hydro with Jim Mims as the required in water instructor(responsible for the dive and students safety) as a part of Derricks limited teaching status, while the accident is being investigated. What long tale George, all I did was explain when he became certified as an instructor with IANTD Again I have not and will not endorse or condemn Derrick , as that would be undermining our QA board whichever stand I would take. I have compiled all the info we can discover on the accident and it is being forwarded to the QA board. Yes since the accident you and Robert have told me you went to his shop to do whatever . Now this is my last comment on the forum in regard to the accident and it is more than I should state. So either accept that we are doing due process and that all facts are being reviewed by the QA board and that they will come to their conclusion based on all the info available or George you can simply ignore that due process is being done. Either way I'm out of here and I'm getting off all list for the next week as I'm out of town all next week teaching a cave course and I certainly will not look at any of these list during that time Tom -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
