Bill,
	I wouldn't use rechargables in a dive computer either I'll only use them
in my lites because of the very reason you stated (they die suddenly and with
little or no warning) I wouldn't recommend them for use in a dive computer
either and I hope that's not how my thread came across. Lithium is definitely
the way to go but as for price the RS near me battery prices for liths start at
5 bucks and go up 30 bucks depends on what size you get
