As always, your milage may vary but please, be > careful. I considered this route as well. What changed my mind was the problem of properly disposing of the spent batteries. The lithium batteries last much longer than their alkaline equivalent but, as was pointed out above, are also much more expensive. The route I settled on was to use the lithium version to keep the sheer number of disposed alkaline batteries out of the landfill. I chalk the higher cost up to increased environmental sensitivity. Just a thought. Does anyone know about the environmental impact of a dead alkaline battery as opposed to a dead lithium battery? :~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~: :Patrick Murphy : murphy@un*.sl*.un*.co* : :Unisys, Government Systems Division :"Ah, this is obviously some strange : :McLean, VA : usage of the word _safe_ that I wasnt: :(703) 847-2545 : previously aware of." : : Opinions expressed are mine alone : Arthur Dent, THHGTTG : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The score: Opinions-3 A**holes-1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
