You posted 15-20g carbohydrate intake a day, which once again you say is 10%. I say 10% is unhealthy. So is it healthy or unhealthy? Now you say you personally didn't do it because you're not trying to lose weight, just inches. However, what are the people trying to lose weight supposed to do? > As I have stated about three times I do not know what the Atkins diet > requires. I think it is strictly a weight loss diet, which is not my > interest? From what you've mentioned of the Protein Power plan, Atkins is exactly the same. > I will challenge you to drop your protein from the 40% you stated to 20% and > replace it with strictly carbs and keep your same level of activity and bet > you a steak dinner your waist measurement will go up. That would throw me out of my balanced diet. I've been saying all along that a well balanced diet coupled with exercise is the best way to lose weight (best meaning for your body, long term to keeping it off, etc, etc etc). > Also the boooks I recommend list a whole series of articles and papers so > why should I just duplicate that. You asked me to produce studies, I produced them. I asked you to produce studies and you're telling me to go buy a book. That doesn't sound fair to me, but maybe I'm missing something. Yes, I do read what you say. I don't really have time for this anymore right now, so I'm just leaving it where it is. I strongly suggest anyone who's severly overweight (i.e. in the "HFS" category) that you seek a qualified nutritionist, get a physical and get on a training program/diet. I don't recommend anyone who's an "HFS" go on any "fad diets" (and there are a ton of them).
