The diver was well aware of all of your statements. He understood and accepted the risks. He thought that 02 toxicity did not apply to him. He often dove a HOT mix. Steve's statement was that I guy knowlingly did everythinng wrong & dies No mystery why. But the important part of the story is that the family settles out of court for a small fortune. even though the Dive boat did nothing wrong. we neeed to take the burden of liability off the boats & on to thje divers. If the guy got hurt on the boat by the boat we would expect the boat to take responsibility. But how can the boat (Captain) be held responsible for you while you are diving ?? That is the problem.
