I think it wold be interesting to have the whole thing on Video. Maybe what could be done is during "boring" moments, a little clock is placed on the lower left side of the screen and the film is accelerated, so that you still get a sense of the whole thing but don't have to sit through 30 minutes of someone hanging on a line.
