DON'T SHOOT THE MESSANGER. The results that I have talk about is what I have observed. I really don't care if SP regs are a good reg or not. I use an odin with a the long hose for wreck diving and a conshelf with a short hose for commercial work done on scuba. I've never had to bail on a dive because of a freeflow. I have never experienced a freeflow. BTW I have used these regs on 400+ dives and 8 years exp.. in all kind of surface temps. with mostly every in water temp. if I'm lucky is in the 40's F I highly doubt that the salt/fresh water theory is going to go anywhere.
