I found the problem with the soft webbing is that it tends
to wear and tear at the points where it is threaded through
the backplate better than twice as quickly - so I switched to
the stiff stuff.

I've got aboput 40ft of the 2" soft stuff laying around,
if anyone wants to buy it...
