I just got back from DEMA `98 where at least one manufacturer (OMS) is offering
a class B EPIRB in a housing designed for divers.  The housing was about 6 in. X
3 in. but I didn't get price info.  They also offer a DF receiver for boat use
(a VHF w/DF antenna will work on ch 16).

I saw an ad recently here in Japan.  It was for a watch that had a built
in EPIRB.  It was designed for mountain clibers, but with the stero type
of Japanese divers, a diving version is probably not to far off.  The one
I saw had a pretty short range though.
