Subject: 3 missing divers in WPB. What may be scaring Divers Supply...
Date: Sun, 18 Jan 1998 17:18:39 -0500
I was thinking about the horrible stupidity, that could lead a training
agency, and their instructors, to push "bondage " style wings on their
students. No wonder Divers Supply is scared shitless--- to have George get
to the bodies first, before they do, where he could video the proof of the
volume and lift limitation.

Does anyone have any doubt that Divers Supply is panicked, over what would
seem to be their complicity in this act of supreme negligence???Why else
would they be threatening the livelihoods of any dive operator who would
take George Irvine out, along with a top team of WKPP divers, accompanied by
the police.

I'm telling the police in Palm Beach, that any training agency or
instructor, who suggests his students use bondage style wings, is guilty of
CRIMINAL negligence. If you lived on a mountain, and your auto mechanic
fixed up your car for you---made it look really cool, but left you with only
one wheel with a brake shoe......you might drive around really proud for a
while, but one day you drive fast down the mountain, and suddenly you can't
get the car to stop----and you get killed.....Should your family be pissed
at the mechanic???? Should the police charge him with reckless endangerment,
or with felony murder???
So how far removed is this from the WPB incident????Not far if you ask me.
If Claypool and the student were sold "fancy cars with only one brake", by
the dive instructor and store manager they trusted-----shouldn't this fall
somewhere between reckless endangerment and felony murder. My guess is the
appropriate agencies in Palm Beach are discussing this right now.

Yea, its a big shock that Divers Supply is afraid of George Irvine, WKPP and
the police.
