All

I believe the correct phrase to use here is that "a friend of mine - not
me" had a quick look at a DUI jacket and DUI wing today - but was in a
hurry so not much time to check it out in detail. Here is some stuff on
the wing and its harness:

The Positives:

* Nice Auto inflate.

* Strong Cordura material used in construction.

* Weight retainers used to adjust the length of the harness and position
of D-Rings.

* Secure looking inflate hose retainers albeit Velcro.

* The wing was relatively slim i.e. long and thin.

The Negatives:

* Pull dump on auto inflate hose.

* Integrated weight system with absolutely crazy huge loops to release
the weights. The loops look like they were made from the wrist lanyards
that are sold - you know the ones in day-glow colours. They probably
need a strong pull to release put are a certain candidate for getting
snagged and dumped accidentally. I trust that they have not used a
secondary method to secure the weights.

* It had a single bungee cord across the wing near where the back of the
neck would be. I presume this is to hold the wing out rather than to
have to wrap around the (single) cylinder. Obviously, the designers
thought this one up to create extra drag so that the stroke can slow down
(parachute-style) on descents:).

* Flaps and tucks at the top of the outer bag to create additional drag.

* Stitched harness with straps and stuff all over the place.

* The non-inflating material section of the wing did not look large
enough to use with a SS backplate and set of doubles. Thus the wing
looked like it would not properly inflate with a SS backplate. It was
displayed on a single, so perhaps there is another variant for doubles?
Then again I did not check so the wing may be OK with doubles.

Netural

Blanked off position on the RHS of the outer bag, presumably to allow a
redundant bladder.

I use their 15 lb wing for my single tank rig, it works well, and
is nice and small. The 50 lb wing is nice, and has tough Cordura
all the way around (not just on one side). They don't use pull-
dumps either. Ask Barry Miller how he likes his Brownie wing.

I don't know about the DUI wing, I have not seen it.
