If you see a connection between drunk driving deaths( where only the drunk driver is involved ) and deep air diver deaths then you should agree that neither will ever cease to occur. Efforts can only be made to reduce the number of occurrences. Wise are the divers that learn "what not to do" from the unwise divers that demonstrate foolish and lethal practices. You CAN learn a lot from a dummy, it doesn't matter who taught them or what agency got the cash for laminating a card. The degree of intelligence that varies from individual to individual will never reach a common level, thus a process which cannot be stopped will forever take its toll on the lesser educated more so than the greater. If the dead from these occurrences could come back for one moment to speak for themselves they would all want another chance but would also accept the blame for being stupid, ignorant, or too arrogant to learn from the countless other before them. And the beat goes on. Semper Deep, Capt. Jim www.oceandiving.com -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
