Subject: Re: Deep air kills two more
John, I get a lot of people come up to me asking about diving in our
project, and they always say, "I have deep air" and some other badges.
When they say that, I always want to ask them what they think we would
need that for, but instead I just say nothing, as they have said it all,
and saved me a future accident report.

I was really hoping that some of the bigger mouths in the UK and
elsewhere would have been on hand to try their luck with me, but I think
they suspected that they are so wrong that the chances of not looking
like a complete fool were slim to none.

It is terribly hard to argue wth a score of 2,000 long range deep mixed
gas cave dives and 6,000 supporting dives with a perfect track record (
the team scorecard since I have been Director of the WKPP) , especially
when the opposition has zero real dives to ther collective names and
nothing but clusters, accidents, and death to show for it, as well as
the proven ability to lie in writing.

The dive instructional community needs to know how stupid they look
when one of their students comes to me and says, "I have deep air", or
when one of them shows up looking lile a Chritmas tree full of useless ,
inappropriate crap.

It was great meeting you and the rest. Now I want to come divng there
and spend more time.
