I was told afterwards that some of the signaturies of that letter were there to cause trouble and were going to harass George on his deep air stance and probe further comments made after Rob Palmers and Rob Parkers death. Basically, George dealt with it very well and the quote from Rob Palmer......."in the sober light of day etc..." really put many people thinking. Apparently the hecklers decided that they couldn't really attack him on what he said so did nothing. The BSAC did tape everything (as they do every year), but I'm not sure how easy it would be to get it. Basically, an excellent piece of work which I'd like to see again if I can get a copy.
