Rod, these work much like a cellular phone, and of course the hackers have already figured out how to clone a given reg. This is a big problem when diving with hoovers, as they can effectively "steal" your gas if they have cloned your second stage. What I did was use the "pin" code buttons on the wrist computer, which allows you to enter your pin code before taking a breath. Needless to say, this is not recommmended for deep air divers, pot-smokers, or idiots ( sorry Zambeck). However,the idiot problem has been solved by the use of a wrist slate which holds the pin codes. A new computerized and integrated version is under development which recognizes the unique signal of the second stage combined with the heartbeat of the user, and iterates the pin back and forth for a breath.
