Yes, I use glue on the hoses/mouthpieces, pain in the ass to get off. 
Important to inspect your gear frequently and replace any suspect lines 
as you go.

I hear tell that there are available mini stainless hose clamps used in 
the avation industry, some cavers in Fla are using them. I was going to 
surf the web and see if I can find a source.
