Subject: Re: Deep Air/ TDI
Jack, you are dead right - it was a slow day. TDI and Gilliam are not
fooling anyone, so there is no need to engage them. The problem, however,
with TDI mail order instruction and other tech agency nonsense is best
defined by the stuff we see on this list: one guy "planning" a dive to
500 feet who wants to know if he can pressurize his camera, and another
guy telling of a dive shop wizzard who fills tanks in a double set
separately. These inbetween tales of deep air death and other charlie
foxtrots.

Jack, if you knew what I know, and you knew these guys, you would be
all over them , too. It is really a sad thing to see, but we have our
own training agency now, and maybe we can make a diference beyond what
we have already contributed to dive knowledge, skill, equipment, and
safety, and offset the Gilliams out there.- G
