Does anybody know if there has been any studies done on the effects of pentoxyfylline (Trental) in dcs? It's supposed to increase erythrocyte flexibility and decrease blood viscosity.Might be interesting to see whether the microcirculatory damage is soley a result of rbc rigidity or are there other factors involved.
