Labels have a few different purposes, and I think we've been discussing at least two of them in this thread. On the one hand, the "huge label" screaming NITROX or whatever is there to scare away the prat who will otherwise grab the wrong tank on a diveboat. That label's not for the owner's benefit, other than for making sure it gets left alone. On the other hand, the labelling that I put on for me is just to help me remember what's in each tank. People have gotten themselves killed dead diving the wrong mix, and I'm not betting my life on remembering two months from now that one of my orange tanks has air and the other has EAN36. This is generally just marked on a piece of tape stuck to the tank neck. -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer" -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
