	Look dumn ass all pressure vessels manufatured in or to be sold in the
USA have to have DOT stamps, the manufacturing facility is
licenced and inspected by the DOT the stamp shows that the facility
has meet all reqiurments to manufacture and sell high pressure cylinders
, but once they sell that tank to me or you the DOT has nothing to do
with it, if the tank is purchased for commercial service then they
must be hydroed every five years just because dive shops require 
hydros does'nt mean it's the law but it is there right, as far as vips
on scuba cylinders that was started by the dive industry and no laws
that require it..........RD
