Jim,

I'm not about to argue that most of what is required at a dive shop is BS.
Nor will I stand in this forum and make doomsday predictions for those who
don't follow any recommendation for Oxygen handling or storage. I'm sure
George has done more fills than I have and never had an accident. And more
than likely never will. However, what others do is not my problem anyway!

What I am saying is that I fill in a dive shop. To meet insurance and OSHA
requirements I will continue to require a certain MINAMUM level of
compliance. End of story!!!

I ask nothing of anyone else that I dont do myself. There are NO double
standards. There are NO exceptions!!! I spelled it out before but here it
is again :

1) You must be certified for the gas requested

2)	The tanks must be current for both Visual and Hydro

3)	If Oxygen is to be added they must comply with ONE OR MORE agencies
standards (To put it bluntly the tank must be stickered for Oxygen service
within the last 12 months).

4) If tanks are filled with a gas other than air the customer MUST analyze
the tanks and sign a waver stating the FO2 and MOD of the gas before
leaving with the gas.

5) The tanks MUST be labeled with the contents and MOD if they contain
other than air.

If you feel that is to restrictive TUFF!!! My tanks meet this set of
requirements. And if I mix gas for you at the dive shop YOURS WILL TOO!!!
I guess by your tone I won't find you at the shops in N. C. if you think
I'm unreasonable.

We both know that the "O2 clean" stuff is BS but that to is TUFF!!! The
first time you get a single grain of sand, dust dirt or anything in the
valve it is no longer "Oxygen Compatible" by the truest definition. But if
you have the valve and tank cleaned once a year you meet the requirements
of the insurance companies and the likes. BS??? Your DAMN RIGHT its BS!!!
But that is what is required. And frankly the amount of work required to
do a cleaning is worth much more than the money the shop charges.

Now Do you want to argue about a bunch of BS or do you want to dive?? Me
Im diving!! So I think Ill take my "Oxygen Clean" tanks, mix some gas
and dive! If you want to continue this Ill be at the dive shop
