>ITS NONE OF THE ABOVE!!!!!!! ITS FEDERAL LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, no, not in reality. Verily, it may be written, but not all that is written is so, and you know it. At least, if you really are an OSHA inspector. I deal with OSHA inspectors at least once a week, (I'm a General Contractor), and in every case where I can show conflicting standards, I've never met an inspector who attempted to enforce OSHA's. I have met several, however, who immediately begin working to correct the situation, and resolve the multiple standard issue. (Remember the early 70's, and all the multiple standards that used to apply to fall protection, not to mention all the crap about hazardous material?) If you really are an OSHA inspector, why aren't you fighting tooth and nail to get these standards resolved? Multiple standards are dangerous, and I thought it was your job to protect us poor, simple divers from danger. The logic here falls further apart, because if your claim is true, (I haven't checked), then PADI, ANDI, IANTD, and all the rest are recommending that we BREAK the law to follow their standards, aren't they? Not to mention the insurance companys mentioned in the previous posts, who are issuing insurance based on another agencies standards. I'll say it again. There is no standard. Many standards mean no standard. Now go away, I've never met an OSHA inspector that I liked. If I had my way, I'd trade all OSHA inspectors in on dogs, and then shoot the dogs. --------- "Huh?" --Jammer, 1992 --------- -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
