It's the fact that there's MORE THAN ONE standard!
As long as that's true, any tank marked to one standard, by definition,
won't be marked to another, even though both "standards" have the same
purpose.
Now, if you accept the fact that more than one standard is bad, can you
see how adding another standard doesn't help?
I await breathlessly the day that England, Japan, TDI, NAUI, the CGA, and
Norway all operate under the same standard.
If you can accomplish that, feeding the hungry should be a snap.
In Norway, they sell T-shirts that say "If we had dolphins, we'd kill
them, too!"
And you're going to get them to agree to mark their tanks a certain way?
That foam stays, though. It's a visual warning.
It means I'm easily bored, heavily armed, and off my medication.
