As you know, the oxygen sensor reacts to partial pressure, not fraction, =
of oxygen. The pressure measured at the sensor can only be converted to =
an equivalent fraction, if the flow rate is within recommended limits. =
Too high of a flow can fool the sensor to read a higher partial pressure =
and in return display a wrong fraction.
