Further to Paul Chapmans' earlier message re: manifolds and the limited = options over here in the UK. What are the relative merits of the OMS manifold? It appears to have facing o-rings but the blurb says that they are = captive like a DIN fitting and therefore a 'superior method in = preventing O-ring extrusion' It certainly seems a bit more solid than the Apeks ( even the 300 bar = version), which has single barrel o-rings and has a lot less joins than = the MDE. The manifold is held to the valves by nuts around the outside of the = shaft so if the shaft is knocked and twisted, it should not unscrew. I have looked through the 'techdiver' archives and found a couple of = postings - the burst disk issue doesn't apply to us Brits and the = advantages of the OMS o-ring system was explained 'By The Owner' as the = subject field explains and so says much the same as the glossy. Is the double barrel o-ring option that effective that it is worth = pursuing to the point of importing a manifold/valve system plus possibly = having to obtain US threaded cylinders. (UK ones tend to be M25x2) =20 Paul -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send list subscription requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
