Scott , I have been very lucky, but that will not stop me from thinking it all
the way through, and doing whatever I can to improve the odds. Maybe I do not
need to be in top shape, have perfectly maintained gear, the best divers on my
team, and have a complete and thorough plan for evey contingency, but then
maybe
that is why I have not ever even broken a fin strap. However, I then could take
no pride in what I am doing.

Check out the tape , and you will see what I mean. I could also point out to
you that nobody has come anywhere close to what we do here by any other means,
if that tells you anything, and nobody even TRIES to dive Leon Sinks, which is
open to the public.

You could also get a copy of the Wakulla Project book of Bill Stone's to see
what "personal preference" in action gets you, and look at his map - it is a
postage stamp relative to ours - we have trippled the amount of cave in 1/6 the
number of dives ( we are at 30,000 feet of cave in Wakulla), and gone 2.5 times
as far from air on 1/3 the gas (10,000 feet in one tunnel, 8600 in another,
7800
in another, and 7000 in the clear tunnel).

This, my friend , is not "luck". - G
