I was running a 50w on my AUL 14 in these conditions, I have upped it to
75w to cut through the murk better. Backscatter is only a problem if your
light is helmet mounted. The AUL is totally focusable and you will kick
yourself for diving with a piddly 14w light for so long.

The good news is that you can revisit your favorite wrecks and see them
in a whole new light, so to speak. It's amazing what you miss. I am
really annoyed when I think about those "once-in-a-lifetime" dives I
wasted with my pelican light.
