Anker- To relate my experience on hogarthianizm (praise be), I tried to set my rig up piecemeal on hogarth principles and found out that it is more of a system rather than a religion. In other words it's concepts and practices are interrelated and don't work when instituted in half measures. Picture an aeroplane. People over the years have tried many configurations, but when you look around what do you see? Wings, elevators and a rudder. Is this a religion? No, it is a system for flying which is proven and reliable. If flying were diving you would see aeroplanes with 5 rudders, 1.5 wings, the pilots cabin facing backward, and the landing gear sticking up rather than down. And the pilots (the ones who survive) preaching to high heaven that, even though it don't fly, it is my personal preference to have as many fucking landing gear sticking out is whatever direction I damn please. With hogarth the buckle go's here because the light gos there because the D-ring is over here because the HPhose gos there because the primary LP hose gos over here, and on and on. It fits together like a well made quick-draw rig. If you don't believe, try to do it half-assed. Then try it the right way. You will see and feel the difference immediately. Or, if you are short on money, save yourself several hundred dollars and just go hogartian in the first place, wish I had. Hallelujah!
