RE: trust & customisation of rental rebreathers. I agree that it would take a lot of confidence in the preparation of a piece of rental kit to take it to 200 feet plus - but what about a longer term arrangement for getting rebreathers onto the market. These things will need development, and it would probably be quicker if we can pay say $1500 to take a unit for 6-12 months, dive it, provide feedback on what we want, then give it back to the manufacturer for them to reuse the parts, then pay out our next year's rental & get the new, improved unit. This way, we don't have to lay out the 5000+ needed to get our first go, then a year or 2 later, when things have moved on, have to try to sell an old unit & find the extra to buy the new one.
