Hank, you mistake being a tough guy with what would happen with anyone else. I know what you mean on the wilted willie, but for a blow up the neck seal is an insant cure. For our stuff, which is all real deep, the hoods get mutillated and have to be replaced quite often - that is why we do not attach them, and of course so we can get to the neck seal "in a pinch". If you ever saw some of the shit I sused to dive with , Hank, you would be suprised I am still here. The "only a stroke" comment was to get some of the locals (FL) going.
