this discussioin got so technical i had to ask my friend archimedes......he said the lift of the tanks was equal to the weight of the water they displaced. the bouyancy was this number minus the weight of the tanks and the weight of the air in them. since the water displaced and the weight of the tanks does not change the only variable is the weight of air inside them ( i believe 13cuf = 1 lb ??) weigh the empty tanks in water then subtract the weight of the air you put in them no this analysis does not take into account volume variations produce by thermal expansion and contraction which will after this by something multiplied by 10 to the -6 david -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
