the simplest setup i have seen was on the wahoo....

1st stage was a simple welding reg set your own intermediate pressure ( it
is probably cheaper to throw it away rather than service it but it is never
in the water). long length of welding hose to a detuned second stage (you
just might have a few of these laying around)

it is simple to use for on board o2 in emergencies.
