Should one use an isolator or not??? The original idea behind the isolator
was for cavers using scooters in the event they hit the top of the cave. I
don't cave dive but do enjoy a good wreck pen! Should I isolate? The other
option is a manifold with a cage which is best for my diving. Considering
the hazzards of wreck diving and the strong currents of the St-lawerence.

As you know, I dive the same wrecks you do. Go with the isolator, and
tilt it forward as you see on the Doing it Right video. That way, it
isn't vulnerable to hits. I suggest that you stay as far away from cages
as you can. They aren't necessary to protect your regs, and they are the
first thing to get caught in confined spaces.
